Difference between Branding and Marketing

Branding, Marketing, And the Video In-Between…

It can get a little confusing trying to understand what is Branding and what is Marketing, especially if you don’t work in an ad-agency.

Every campaign you see on a billboard, hear on the radio or watch on television has branding and marketing behind it.

I’ll explain in more depth in the next few posts, but just so you understand better the importance of both and how to use the video to promote them both, I’ll give you a few examples.

Let’s play an association game. I’ll say a word, and you throw the first association that comes to your mind:
When I say Volvo, you think…
I say Coca-Cola, you think…
Gieco…

Each of the companies above branded their product in a very unique way. Even though there are many other car companies, when it comes to car safety, Volvo would be the first one that jumps to mind. This is what the company wanted you to think and remember, and created most of their campaigns in the past around it.

Marketing on the other hand, is where to post, hang or advertise, that the target audience – in the Volvo case for example it would be moms auto buyers that are looking for safety – will see it. Once they do see it, the strong branding – the message if you will – will penetrate deep and do the rest of the work so they will buy.

A video can serve as these two tools – as a branding tool to create and deliver a strong message, but as a marketing tool as well – as it can be viewed directly by your target audience - more than any other advertising.

DOUBLE your Website's traffic & attract NEW customers!

DOUBLE your Website's traffic & attract NEW customers!

Video on Social Networking sites and Video Posting sites are quickly becoming THE primary online destination for everyone. It's been reported that 82% of internet viewers watch videos online and 52% of web traffic is video based. Are you losing half of your customers by not using video? We will will show you how and where to use Video to bring you NEW business. And the best part is that video attracts new customers 24 hours a day, every day!

What types of videos should I make?

There are many types of videos you can produce for these sites. Think like your target audience … what would they like to know about your company? What would build their confidence in you and your company?

If you have general marketing videos or corporate branding videos, post those. In fact, any videos that you have for your business that are interesting or engaging should be posted. More is better in this case. Having more content will increase the chances that the audience will connect with you.

Other popular video types are product demonstrations, FAQ help, a tour of your facilities, new product teasers or a video catalog of your products with detailed product information. Also, you can show your human side and compassion by posting videos that show your company's community involvement, demonstrations of your expertise or talent, funny or entertaining events at your company or the process that you use to develop products.

What sites are there to post Videos on?

YouTube is the big player. They own 64% of the video marketplace. But, you still need to utilize all the Video post sites like FaceBook, Google Video, Yahoo Video, Metacafe etc.

These sites bring you real, qualified traffic that paid advertising cannot. Roughly 10 to 20% of the traffic that sees your videos will go to your site or use links that you provide. Of these visitors, 10 to 15% will take action … buying from you or calling you.

These visitors buy from you because of the credibility that the video content gives your business. The relationship your are building with these customers grows with each exposure to your expertise or message. And that means sales grow with it.

How do I post the Video to these sites?

Posting videos to multiple Social Networks and video sharing sites on can be time consuming if you do it one upload at a time. We recommend using a Video Distribution service. They all offer different types of distribution and added value services and tracking. One is sure to be right for you. Most offer some sort of analytics so you can track your traffic and results. Check out their sites for complete breakdowns of the services they provide.

Here are the most commonly used services:
• The favorite is TubeMogul.com. They give you basic, free online “Video Syndication” across all of the video sharing sites. Full featured, Premium services are also available.
• Heyspread.com is a mass distribution service that is a “pay as you go” service.
• Dailymotion.com is simple and just distributes your video across your personal Blog, website and social network profiles.
• In youTube you can do quick, simple video distribution by simply clicking the social network icons under your video.

We hope that this has given you some insight, help and inspiration to go after your audience. This investment in your business is a process you build on. Patience and perseverance will pay dividends into the future. Make your website an information resource for your industry. It makes you an expert, pulls traffic and converts to sales.

See what types of videos, keywords or phrases they are using. What themes or information types they give. Make a short list of the most effective and relevant ones. If there's not a a lot of video content for your industry, look at other videos that your demographic would be attracted to for inspiration.

Also have your webmaster load all the data tags and fields in your video descriptions and titles with these targeted keywords. Be sure to use the keywords or phrases that are reflected in the video content. - Keep your viewers happy, don't mislead.

SECRET #3 - KEEP YOUR VIDEOS SHORT AND TO THE POINT.

You don't want your audience to click away. It's better to have several of your short videos available than one long one. This lets the viewer pick the information that's right for them. And, if they like one video, they will most likely click on your other videos as well. Also, be sure the production level is professional so your audience will take you seriously and to be sure the video doesn't devalue your company. It's okay to cover several major topics, just be sure that each is covered completely.

SECRET #5 - BE SUBTLE WITH BRANDING OR MARKETING.

You are building a relationship. Nobody likes to be sold. But, you do need to have your businesses association available to the viewer. Start the video with a simple, quick intro featuring your brand. Make subtle mentions of your company in the video. Close with a friendly reminder of how to contact your company for more information. Link the video wherever possible to your site. Don't go overboard. It's distracting and they'll click on the next video.

SECRET #6 - MAKE YOUTUBE DO THE BORING STUFF.

You get lots of analytic tools with your account on YouTube and many other Video post sites and Social Media sites. Use them! You can see what videos get the most traffic and the viewing habits of your potential customers. See what pulls the most traffic and what has the longest viewing times and cater to that direction.

Follow these simple steps and you'll build a dedicated audience in no time. As it grows, so will your sales! If you need any other advice or Video Production help, please contact us anytime at info@visionmovies.com or 888-839-5150.

HOW TO MAKE A CAPITAL RAISING VIDEO THAT'S A MONEY MAKING MACHINE!

- 6 FREE VIDEO TIP PRINCIPALS

By Omer BarSadeh for Vision Film and Television Production

A video is a powerful tool that delivers a message in a very short time. This is especially important when you're trying to communicate an idea to someone who can has the power to invest or sponsor your business. In this instance, you should be short, precise and extremely focused. But above all, you need to create a credible impression and communicate clearly.

It shouldn't take long or be a major effort to create a fund-raising video. Make a solid plan and you can create a tool that will generate you more than you ever dreamed of!

Here are 6 key principals that will turn your video into an engaging, money making machine:

1. UNDERSTAND YOUR IDEA
Define the problem that the world is suffering from and how your new business (service or product) will solve the problem. Deliberate your ideas, mission and concepts. Boil it down and create a 1-line message. By presenting a precise message you'll communicate your intentions clearly and fast. This will be the message that will be the continuous “thread” throughout your video.

2. SHOW THE DETAILS
Show people that are in “pain” and need your idea. Show how nothing in the market is providing the needed solution. Show the commercial potential you service / product has, by presenting projections based on this untapped market.

3. SHOW THE BIG PICTURE
Everyone likes to be part of a life-changing movement. We all love the feeling of making a contribution and a difference. Utilize these emotions and illustrate how your product or service will not just solve a problem, but how it will help a community, a city, an organization, animals, the ecology or a specific group of people.

4. LET THEM DREAM
Let the viewer taste and envision the final result, by drawing a sketch, showing a picture or have someone talking about the "after" moment. This way they'll imagine how they will feel when the project becomes a success.

5. CONVINCE YOURSELF FIRST
Watch the video and become the investor yourself. See if it convinced you. If you felt it in your heart, they probably will too. Remember, people don't invest in a business - they invest in people. Show with the video that not only do you have the vision, but you also have the professionalism and qualities needed to lead the business to success.

6. KEEP IT SHORT
Keep in mind that investors are very busy and have heard hundreds of pitches before. Create a video to will create an impact and create a desire that resonates. More is less in this case. Tease them and leave them wanting to see and learn more from you.

That's it. Now, go and show your video to some friends and family. Ask them to be honest with you, so you can create the best video to get the best results. Make changes as needed. Once done, set up your pitch meetings or distribute on-line. Your money making video is now ready to work for you!

3 STEPS TO CREATE YOUR MOST POWERFUL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY PRESENTATION VIDEO - FREE VIDEO TIPS

By Omer BarSadeh for Vision Film and Television Production

The Internet has created a huge pool of information and resources, and for the consumer there's nothing better - almost. Almost, because it has also brought much more competition and the threat of Internet fraud and scams.

When we're looking to buy a product or to use a service, we make sure we know exactly who we're dealing with, especially when we have to spend a lot of money. We want to make sure there will be a return on our investment.

In times of recession like we are experiencing now, people still need to renovate and move. But, the budgets are tighter and the projects are getting smaller. That means the competition is getting harder.

Using the power of video can give you a tremendous advantage on your competition. It will help the consumer that is about to spend a decent amount of money choose you.
Before creating your video, keep in mind 3 basic principles that will help brand you and create better credibility:

1. Make sure to present your business and the way it uniquely operates while emphasizing your advantages compared to the market. Talk about things like the fact taht other companies never finish on time but you always do. Or how the competition always leaves a mess and that you pride yourself on always leaving the worksite cleaner than when you started.

2 . Back up what you present with testimonials. There is no stronger tool than using a third party to talk about you. The viewer will connect and find himself relating to the person speaking on camera. Talking about common problems your potential clients might face and how your company solved them will add to your expertise. Use real examples of projects you did, and show them by using still pictures or live videos.

3. Show how easy it is. Let your clients understand that by choosing to work with you not only will they get the best results, but the process itself will be easy, efficient and even fun! Nobody wants to find themselves in a situation where they need to solve problems. Show them that you're responsible, you'll be there to get things done and you always keep your word.
Now, after you showed the beautiful work you can do, presented your professionalism and showed approval from previous clients, make “a call to action”. Prompt your viewer to call you for a free quote or to fill out a website form to request a quote. Whatever it take to make contact with them so you can see their needs and provide a solution.

Doing the above will build your credibility and trust with your potential clients which means more business for you. Just take it step by step. It's easy. Now go give it a try and take control of building new business!

HOW TO CAST YOUR TALENT FOR YOUR MARKETING VIDEO IN 7 STEPS - FREE VIDEO TIPS

Your competition has a video, you see similar products on TV - and you feel you should be a part of the equation: you decided you need a video too. But you want it to be different, and decided you want to have a gorgeous model...
Before you decide who it should be based on a picture or a circle-of-friends referrals, here are 4 easy ways to cast the right talent that will make your video very successful:

1. MAKE SURE YOU REALLY NEED A TALENT:
Many times, just because we saw a beautiful host on a TV commercial for a different product, doesn't necessarily means that you need one too. A handsome model showing his hardcore abs might create an opposite impact if you're selling wheelchairs. Many times a good voice over will do.

2. IDENTIFY THE PURPOSE OF THE TALENT:
If you decided you do need a talent, keep in mind that a host should deliver information, and as a third party - create credibility; a beautiful model (male or female) will create either a desire - by using your product or service - to look like them or, on the other hand, by using your product - to get someone like them. Sometimes you'd like to show an opposite example by NOT using your products, such as a heavy person, cosmetic imperfections, etc.

3. UNDERSTAND YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE:
Marketing to a specific audience requires creating a specific image / feeling the audience will connect to and trust. If you're selling a health product, you have to know that usually, the health decision maker for the family would be the wife / mother. If she's convinced, she'll buy it for her parents and friends as well. Understanding that will allow you to seek the talent that will create the biggest impact and get her convinced.

4. MAKE A CHOICE:
Most of us are very busy, but creating an image for your business is extremely important. If you are about to shoot a video and you want it to produce results, make sure it looks great. If someone knows someone, it doesn't mean they are the best fit for you.
There are many talented actors and models out there - from very professionals all the way to talented people who are looking for a break. Here are 2 easy places to browse; free casting websites: www.lacasting.com and www.modelmeyhem.com. After creating your account, you can post your own project and get submissions. Make sure to post the project as a 'NON UNION' if you're not a talent/production union member. ... Now, you can choose the best actor for your production.

5. AUDITION:
Still photographers are doing their job very well by providing talent with amazing head-shots, ones that can often be misleading (!)... To make sure you're choosing the right talent, set up a short casting day and ask them to come in. Set it up at your office, or a public place. Keep in mind that most will not show up if you're setting up a casting call at your home, since it could appear to be an non-legit situation. Ask them to bring a headshot with them, so you can write your comments on the back of it, and remember them better.
As they arrive, have them sign a sign-in sheet, and make sure you have their information such as name, phone no., and email address.
Have a video camera ready. Let the models smile and show their face from all angles, hair, legs, hands or whatever you'll be shooting. If it's a host, prepare a couple of lines before hand, and let them convince you. If it's an acting part, you can bring 2 or more of them together to have a short audition. Always treat the talent with respect - even though it's YOUR first time, for many of them it's their job.

6. MAKE YOUR DECISION:
Now, sit down and go through the audition footage. Using a full size TV or monitor, see how the talent comes across on screen and choose the best one for your production. If you're not sure, have a friend, a colleague or a family member help you choose. Remember: it's not about what you felt in person - it's about what they look like on the screen!

7. TALK TO YOUR SELECTION:
Define a pay rate, set up time, and give them the lines the should memorize in advance. If you need them to paint their nails, cut their hair or shave, make sure to arrange it prior to your shoot date.

That's it, you're all set.
Go and get 'em, tiger!

4 FREE TIPS ON HOW TO CREATE YOUR SUCCESSFUL INTERNET VIDEO

By Omer BarSadeh for Vision Film and Television Production

We all know that video is becoming the most powerful tool to deliver information. In a short time the
viewer sees images, hears sounds and voice-overs, and reads titles that all deliver a message. But above all, a well made video has an amazing advantage over print or still images: they convey an experience.
The viewer feels, laughs, cries, gets scared, or falls in love.

Whether it's a service or a product you want to sell or promote, video is your best tool.

If you are looking to create a marketing video, use these tips to achieve the best results:

1. Identify your target audience:
By knowing who you're after, you'll be able focus on a campaign that appeals directly to them. If it's children, create a fun, childish spot; women – go for the heart; men – through exciting adventures!

2. Find where your audience is hanging out:
Is there a TV channel they're watching? A blog they're following? A forum? A website? By identifying their hang-out place, you can reach more of them, and deliver a direct message - specifically for them.

3. Create a memorable piece:
Tell a story that your audience will remember. By doing so, you'll create a conversation in your target audience community. Think about it: what are the videos you remember? The funny one, the dramatic one, the different ones.

4. Don't compromise quality:
To make an impact, a great idea is not enough. Telling a story is hard work and often requires professional help. You may know who you're after and where to find them, you might even have an amazing idea – then choose the right people to help you make it happen! The right team can make your vision a reality. If your video looks bad or misses the point - no one will pay attention to it... So don't compromise the quality of the video.

That's it! You're all set! Producing your spot can and should be fun - so get started!
