HOW TO CAST YOUR TALENT FOR YOUR MARKETING VIDEO IN 7 STEPS - FREE VIDEO TIPS

Your competition has a video, you see similar products on TV - and you feel you should be a part of the equation: you decided you need a video too. But you want it to be different, and decided you want to have a gorgeous model...
Before you decide who it should be based on a picture or a circle-of-friends referrals, here are 4 easy ways to cast the right talent that will make your video very successful:

1. MAKE SURE YOU REALLY NEED A TALENT:
Many times, just because we saw a beautiful host on a TV commercial for a different product, doesn't necessarily means that you need one too. A handsome model showing his hardcore abs might create an opposite impact if you're selling wheelchairs. Many times a good voice over will do.

2. IDENTIFY THE PURPOSE OF THE TALENT:
If you decided you do need a talent, keep in mind that a host should deliver information, and as a third party - create credibility; a beautiful model (male or female) will create either a desire - by using your product or service - to look like them or, on the other hand, by using your product - to get someone like them. Sometimes you'd like to show an opposite example by NOT using your products, such as a heavy person, cosmetic imperfections, etc.

3. UNDERSTAND YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE:
Marketing to a specific audience requires creating a specific image / feeling the audience will connect to and trust. If you're selling a health product, you have to know that usually, the health decision maker for the family would be the wife / mother. If she's convinced, she'll buy it for her parents and friends as well. Understanding that will allow you to seek the talent that will create the biggest impact and get her convinced.

4. MAKE A CHOICE:
Most of us are very busy, but creating an image for your business is extremely important. If you are about to shoot a video and you want it to produce results, make sure it looks great. If someone knows someone, it doesn't mean they are the best fit for you.
There are many talented actors and models out there - from very professionals all the way to talented people who are looking for a break. Here are 2 easy places to browse; free casting websites: www.lacasting.com and www.modelmeyhem.com. After creating your account, you can post your own project and get submissions. Make sure to post the project as a 'NON UNION' if you're not a talent/production union member. ... Now, you can choose the best actor for your production.

5. AUDITION:
Still photographers are doing their job very well by providing talent with amazing head-shots, ones that can often be misleading (!)... To make sure you're choosing the right talent, set up a short casting day and ask them to come in. Set it up at your office, or a public place. Keep in mind that most will not show up if you're setting up a casting call at your home, since it could appear to be an non-legit situation. Ask them to bring a headshot with them, so you can write your comments on the back of it, and remember them better.
As they arrive, have them sign a sign-in sheet, and make sure you have their information such as name, phone no., and email address.
Have a video camera ready. Let the models smile and show their face from all angles, hair, legs, hands or whatever you'll be shooting. If it's a host, prepare a couple of lines before hand, and let them convince you. If it's an acting part, you can bring 2 or more of them together to have a short audition. Always treat the talent with respect - even though it's YOUR first time, for many of them it's their job.

6. MAKE YOUR DECISION:
Now, sit down and go through the audition footage. Using a full size TV or monitor, see how the talent comes across on screen and choose the best one for your production. If you're not sure, have a friend, a colleague or a family member help you choose. Remember: it's not about what you felt in person - it's about what they look like on the screen!

7. TALK TO YOUR SELECTION:
Define a pay rate, set up time, and give them the lines the should memorize in advance. If you need them to paint their nails, cut their hair or shave, make sure to arrange it prior to your shoot date.

That's it, you're all set.
Go and get 'em, tiger!

4 FREE TIPS ON HOW TO CREATE YOUR SUCCESSFUL INTERNET VIDEO

By Omer BarSadeh for Vision Film and Television Production

We all know that video is becoming the most powerful tool to deliver information. In a short time the
viewer sees images, hears sounds and voice-overs, and reads titles that all deliver a message. But above all, a well made video has an amazing advantage over print or still images: they convey an experience.
The viewer feels, laughs, cries, gets scared, or falls in love.

Whether it's a service or a product you want to sell or promote, video is your best tool.

If you are looking to create a marketing video, use these tips to achieve the best results:

1. Identify your target audience:
By knowing who you're after, you'll be able focus on a campaign that appeals directly to them. If it's children, create a fun, childish spot; women – go for the heart; men – through exciting adventures!

2. Find where your audience is hanging out:
Is there a TV channel they're watching? A blog they're following? A forum? A website? By identifying their hang-out place, you can reach more of them, and deliver a direct message - specifically for them.

3. Create a memorable piece:
Tell a story that your audience will remember. By doing so, you'll create a conversation in your target audience community. Think about it: what are the videos you remember? The funny one, the dramatic one, the different ones.

4. Don't compromise quality:
To make an impact, a great idea is not enough. Telling a story is hard work and often requires professional help. You may know who you're after and where to find them, you might even have an amazing idea – then choose the right people to help you make it happen! The right team can make your vision a reality. If your video looks bad or misses the point - no one will pay attention to it... So don't compromise the quality of the video.

That's it! You're all set! Producing your spot can and should be fun - so get started!

3 Free Tips for Creating a Marketing Video in the Fashion Industry

By Omer BarSadeh for Vision Film and Television Production

Let’s face it. Our world is evolving, and with the variety and sophistication of most
media services and sites, people aren’t reading anymore – they’re watching.

Think of the revenue your company could garner from utilizing the power of high quality video production to showcase your fashion or beauty product. The mouth-watering burgers, the glittering diamonds, and the beautiful dresses that you see on television are making millions for brands who understand the importance of using a visual medium to sell their products. Video marketing gives you an instant advantage over your competitors and can paint a stunning story in a way that text simply cannot. And in the world of fashion and beauty, telling a compelling story visually is a must!

If you’re considering creating a marketing and /or internet video that will help to grow your fashion or beauty business, make sure you incorporate the following tips:

Video Marketing Tip #1: Create Engagement

Show the effectiveness of your fashion or beauty product with vivid, appealing results. By showcasing these features in a high quality video, viewers will instantly associate your brand with a specific product or service and will connect visual cues like your logo and spokesperson with them as well. The visuals will create instant desire and build credibility among the wholesalers, retail stores, and individuals who need your product – which translates to your next customer!

Video Marketing Tip#2: Highlight the Positives

Take something that might be perceived as a negative and turn it into a positive. Use your marketing video to clearly and visually highlight the positive attributes of your fashion or beauty product. For example, show customers how indestructible a large styling tool can be by filming a demonstration. In just a few seconds they’ll see that it isn’t unwieldy but rather it’s a cost-effective option to the smaller, fragile tools on the market. As the adage goes, they’ll believe it when they see it – and marketing videos allow you to do just that.

Video Marketing Tip #3: Elicit Desire

Use the power of aesthetics to create desire for your product. A well-produced marketing video will use beautiful models, the right props, and create the perfect ambiance with the best lighting and shooting methods. You’ll appeal to your ideal customer and create desire for your product among people who never knew they needed it. In the fashion and beauty industries, it is especially crucial to appeal to your audience visually using high quality production techniques.

While creating a high quality video can help your business, keep in mind that not every video is a good video. A low quality video might create a less than desirable image, and provide negative association for your product that could damage your credibility.

Video marketing is worthy investment that will help elevate your business to the next level. Save time, money, and energy by producing them properly and you’ll see your business in a new light!

5 Free Tips to Create an Effective Web Video for a Medical Business

By Omer BarSadeh for Vision Film and Television Production

Online videos are a great tool for professionals in the medical field, especially plastic surgeons, Lasik surgery providers, hair implant specialists and dentists. When executed properly, a web video can draw in hundreds of new clients, and engage them. Below are five free tips to create an effective medical business video:

1. Deliver important information.
People watch medical web videos to learn more about specific procedures, as well as their benefits and drawbacks. By explaining a procedure, you are positioning yourself as an expert in the field. And, you’re more likely to convert viewers into clients.

2. Show your professional / human side.
Medical procedures can be scary, especially if surgery is involved. Present yourself as a professional, compassionate person who understands the patient’s fears. Patients that see this will feel more comfortable calling you for a consultation.

3. Create credibility.
By having previous patients vouch for you, your expertise and the way you handled their case in your professional video, you’re creating a referral that can be viewed again and again. Potential patients will relate to your patient's similar experiences. Introducing staff members onscreen and having them describe you as an expert by talking about your technical skills, professionalism and comforting personality, will establish credibility.

4. Develop an emotion.
At some point in your video, tell an anecdote that shows your compassion and connection to your patients. Tell how you saved life or how you identified a problem that nobody else could diagnose. Or, how an embarrassed patient confided to you and you were able to cure him and save his marriage.

5. Make sure your video looks as professional as possible.
When your video is clean, appealing and professional, it presents you in the same light. If it looks low-budget, unappealing and it has errors, it can damage more than help. Some potential clients will never step in your clinic. Always ask yourself: Would you respond to the video?

You only get one chance to make a first impression, and the right medical video can make sure you put your best foot forward. Web videos aren’t just about creating a call to action, but creating a lasting positive impression that your future clients will remember.
